New bicycling venture: From Vancouver to Pitt Meadows

Allan and I biked over to Pitt Meadows yesterday from Vancouver. We were aiming to reach Barnston Island, but were a bit lost with where to catch the ferry. As you can see on our map, we were headed in the right direction, and were very close, but very exhausted near the end (going back and forth looking for the ferry terminal).
Unfortunately I am without a bicycling partner for the remainder of the year. On our way back to Vancouver, Allan's bike tripped on a huge debris, forcing him to crash land and pop out his collarbone. We called 911 on the side of the highway and were taken to Royal Columbia Hospital. Everything is ok with him.
